Meet the Founder

Sharma Love Ross, Jr.

SLR Services was founded by Sharma Love Ross, Jr., who studied Finance & Business Technology at the University of Miami’s Herbert Business School before building this company from the ground up. He credits much of his growth to the relationships he built along the way and encourages the same in others — the right conversation, he believes, can change the direction of a career. Today he owns and personally operates SLR Services, overseeing the freight moves that keep customers’ businesses running, and personally develops the supplier relationships — both domestic and international — that keep the company growing. “I wake up every day knowing that I get to control my destiny,” he says.

That drive has built a reputation for reliability that stretches well beyond South Florida, and it continues to shape how he runs SLR Services today — with the same hands-on attention whether a load is moving across town or across a border.

Our Story

SLR Services started with a single truck and a promise: treat every load like it mattered, and show up when you say you will. In the early days that meant Sharma driving the lanes himself and taking every call personally — there was no dispatch team to hand a problem off to, so problems got solved on the spot, and relationships got built the same way.

That one truck became a small fleet, then a network of vetted carrier partners able to cover truckload, LTL, and intermodal lanes nationwide. The company grew because shippers who gave us one load kept coming back with the next one — and because every new hire, dispatcher, and partner carrier was held to the same standard the business was built on. We’re a nationwide freight and logistics partner today, but the way we operate hasn’t changed: direct communication, accountable people, and freight that moves on schedule.

Our Mission

SLR Services exists to move freight reliably — and to move opportunity alongside it. Beyond domestic truckload, LTL, and logistics management, we are building international supplier partnerships that bring affordable materials and quality goods to the communities we serve. Every load is handled with the same standard: transparent communication, dependable delivery, and respect for every driver, partner, and customer along the way.

Safety Commitment

Safety is the standard every load gets measured against, not a department that signs off after the fact. Every driver in our network is screened for CDL compliance and completes ongoing safety training before a load is assigned to them. Equipment goes through scheduled maintenance and pre-trip inspections, dispatch tracks hours-of-service in real time, and every lane is planned with FMCSA regulations as the floor, not the ceiling. That discipline is what an A+ safety rating and a 98.7% on-time delivery record are built on — and what keeps drivers, freight, and the shippers counting on us all moving safely.
